When setting up a referral program, you have an option to pay your affiliates with monetary commission or a reward with a form of store credit, gift certificates, etc.

It is best to determine your affiliate to identify the best form of commission.

If your affiliates are actually customers that are likely to make repeat purchases

For this type of affiliate, you can use the custom reward option and give discounts on future purchases. Follow the steps below to set it up.

To get started. Go to Referral Programs from your admin dashboard.

Step 2. Click on +Add button.

Step 3. Fill out mandatory fields marked with an asterisk (*). Select Something Other Than Money from the drop-down list. Click Continue button.

Step 4. Set the Link to Your Store and click Finish button.

Step 5. Go to Rewards section.

Step 6. Click Manage Rewards and click Add New Reward button.

Step 7. Fill out all the fields and click Submit button.

Number of Leads Required - This is the number of purchase regardless of amount and quantity per purchase

Reset the number to 0 when the reward is reached and allow to more than one

If your affiliates are straight affiliates that are not likely to make repeat purchases

For this type of affiliate, you can use the monetary reward option. Follow the steps below to set it up.

Step 1. Go to Referral Programs from your admin dashboard.

Step 2. Click on +Add button.

Step 3. Fill out mandatory fields marked with an asterisk (*). Select Money from the drop-down list. You may choose to give a percentage of the sale or a flat rate. Click Continue button.

Step 4. Set the Link to Your Store and click Finish button.
